We are excited to announce a FREE community event to be held on the Sonnewald Farm, Wednesday 8/6/14, in partnership with some very passionate, talented, creative and highly motivated young local visionaries, Indigo. We’d like to have a wide selection of socially conscious individuals, groups, organizations and businesses represented. You may request free space to inspire, educate, demonstrate and yes, even sell products promoting wellness, sustainability, faith and hope. See attached flyer and please help us spread the word.

See 8-6-day.com for more.

Update (7/27/14):

The 8-6-DAY event being held on the Sonnewald Farm on 8/6 is exploding. The Indigo group currently has 70 committed vendors and is expecting 500 to 1500 participants. Participation is FREE for everyone! According to the vendor list being updated on the 8-6-day.com event site, many really good health and sustainability organizations and initiatives are still not registered. Please know that no one is expected to attend the entire day (8am-9pm). You may come when you can and leave when you wish. If no one from the following organizations, etc. is able to create a simple display, please do your best to get materials to me (meaning Willa LeFever) so I can get them on community networking tables, at least. (Put a rubberband or 2 around them so they won’t blow away.) And share this with anyone who might be interested and/or be in a position to help.

Groups we'd especially love to see there:
Buy Fresh Buy Local (Are there any Local Food Guides available?)
York County Food Alliance
York Urban Garden Assoc.
Master Gardeners
Horn Farm
Healthy World Café
Farms offering Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs
