"Say, who are you that mumbles in the dark? And who are you that draws your veil across the stars?"

Immigrants are your next door neighbors who have come from various parts of the world for particular reasons. Many immigrate in order to search for better opportunities while others just immigrate voluntarily. There are those who want to escape the discrimination and prejudice of their mother country; they want to get away from harm's way. The United States in particular serves as a melting pot for immigrants. It is described as the land of dreams; everyone seeks the American Dream where they could find more prosperous lives. Families immigrate in order to find better opportunities for their children and future generations. Out of these families emerge undocumented students who dream to gain a college education. Refugees and members of the LGBT community seek asylums in order to escape the violence, discrimination, and prejudice that exists in their current location. Or simply, there are students who seek to make their dreams a part of reality. What do they all have in common? They are all human beings that are seeking a better way of living.
