Welcome to our website!

OUR CLUB IS ORGANIZED AND RUN BY PARENT VOLUNTEERS AND WE WELCOME ALL.

Science Olympiad students participate in exciting, challenging and fun events to learn scientific problem solving in a team environment.  In September, participants will choose at least 2 events in which to compete, and then prepare for them over the next 4 months.  Preparation involves attending mandatory 1-2 hour per event weekly sessions with their team and coach. Sessions may be held during RAM time, after school, in the evenings or even on weekends depending on the schedules of the coaches and students. The Competition will be held on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Carlsbad High School.  It lasts all day. Students must participate in the competition in order to participate in the program (in other words, do not plan any other activities for competition day).

As part of a 2-3 person team, you can...

…learn how to use a microscope and other scientific equipment

…design and build a helicopter that will fly longer than your competitors

…conduct forensic investigations and experiments to solve a crime
