Tinley Park Fencing Club

Who are we?
 The Tinley Park Fencing Club (TPFC) is a fencing co-op for foil, epee and saber fencers. We offer lessons for beginners, coaching and instruction for others, and opportunities to fence and improve. We welcome prospective fencers ages 10 and up and experienced fencers of all ages. Basic equipment is provided but fencers are encouraged to bring their own.

When do we meet? Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm. However, we occasionally skip a week, so check our Facebook page or contact us via email (tinleyparkfencingclub@gmail.com) to make sure we will be meeting. Regular notifications are also sent via email. so send us a message if you want to be added to our email notification list.

Where do we meet? TPFC meets at St. Nicholas Church, located one block east of the intersection of 183rd and Pulaski and about two blocks north on Springfield. The church's address is 17935 Springfield, Homewood, IL 60430 and you can find us in the activity room in the back part of the building. 

What does it cost? 

United States Fencing Association Dues - Club members must also be members of the United States Fencing Association.  USFA dues start at $10 per year for non-competitive membership and are payable through us or directly to the USFA via their web site. USFA memberships begin 1 August each year.  Please note - USFA competitive membership is required to participate in any USFA tournament. 

FIRST VISIT - If you are new to fencing or have allowed your USFA membership to lapse, your first visit is $10, which we will use to pay for your USFA membership.

WEEKLY  Current USFA members, including high school members who joined through their school team, are welcome to participate on a week to week basis. Floor fee is $5 per session. 

MEMBERSHIPS - Membership dues are used to cover room rental and our insurance (obtained through USFA).  We meet approximately 35 times a year and do not meet from mid-October through January (during the high school fencing schedule).

     ANNUAL (calendar year - payable in February only)
            $175 individual
            $300 household (2 or more members of a single household)

    SEMI-ANNUAL (due in February & mid-May)
            $90 individual
            $150 household 
(2 or more members of a single household)

    PRORATED DUES - if you join mid-session, you may either pay                       weekly until the start of the next session, or pay prorated dues of               $20 per month for the remaining months in the session, not                       counting October -January.
