Who are we?
The Tinley Park Fencing Club (TPFC) is a fencing co-op for foil, epee and saber fencers. We offer lessons for beginners, coaching and instruction for others, and opportunities to
fence and improve. We welcome prospective fencers ages 10 and up and experienced fencers of all ages. Basic
equipment is provided but fencers are encouraged to bring their own.
When do we meet? Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm. However, we typically skip at least
one Thursday a month, so contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org) to make sure we will be meeting or if you want to be added to our email notification list.
Where do we meet? TPFC
meets at St. Nicholas Church, located one block east of the intersection of 183rd and Pulaski and about two blocks north on Springfield. The church's address is 17935 Springfield, Homewood, IL 60430 and you can find us in the activity room in the back part of the building.
What does it cost? Club dues are $65 for each 4-month session; two or more members of the same household are $50 per person. Dues are
used to cover room rental and our insurance (obtained through USFA). We meet 10 to 12 times during each 4-month period, depending on the number of members we have and do not hold meetings in November, December & January (during the high school fencing schedule).
members must also be members of the United States Fencing Association. USFA dues are
currently $70 annually (competitive member) or $10 per year (non-competitive member) and are payable directly to the USFA via their web site.
USFA memberships begin 1 August each year. USFA competitive membership required to participate in any USFA tournament.
Current USFA members are welcome to participate on a week to week basis. Floor fee is $10 per session, except for current USFA high school members, who can fence for $5 per session.
