As one of the longest-operating public high schools in the US, Towson High School has about 1,500 students and offers a wide variety of musical opportunities. Nearly 50% of our student body is enrolled in a music class, which is a great indicator of the 5-star tradition of excellence of our school.

Ensembles and Auditions
There are a variety of Honors and GT ensembles, which are explained under Choir and Choral, Guitar, Jazz, Orchestra, and Percussion. Auditions are typically held in the spring. Students are placed in classes by recommendation of their middle school teacher, high school teacher, or audition in some cases.
