Hagerstown Halloween Parade (Oct)

The annual Alsatia Mummers Halloween Parade is held in Hagerstown, MD every October.

 

This is a great event with lots of bands and floats. Seating along the parade route can get crowded. Bring your blankets, chairs, and refreshments.  This parade is held rain, snow, or shine.

Food:

  • A Panera box lunch will be on the bus for those students that pay $10 CASH the week before
  • Students MUST bring money to buy dinner after the parade.

 

Itinerary:

  • 11:30 am - Students arrive for practice
  • 3 pm - The band will perform at the half-time show for the 1 pm football game and leave the game at 3 pm
  • 3 to 3:30 pm - Get dressed in your uniform
  • 3:30 pm - Depart for Hagerstown
  • 5 pm - Arrive at St. Maria Goretti High School at 1535 Oak Hill Ave, Hagerstown, Md. The trip is 1 hour and 30 minutes from THS
  • 6 pm - Parade begins
  • 8 pm - Depart for home
  • 9:30 to 10 pm - Arrive at THS. Mr. Olin will send out a Remind 101 text when the bus is about 10 minutes from the school
  • Students will change out of their uniforms at the school.

Please email Mr. Rhen at drhen@bcps.org at least 2 weeks in advance if you must miss a marching band performance or practice.
