The edTPA- Overview
Required for Teacher Certificatioin in 25 states
Demonstrate their ability to teach with 3 Tasks
Teacher Education Programs will be evaluated on passing scores
Analsys of the Necessary Skills (for faculty and students)
Teacher educations do most of what is on the edTPA
Many are reworking their programs to effect results.

Practical approaches to success
Make Secure documents available using Blackboard.
Chioose a single (minimum # of edTPA categories) - Touro - Special Ed.
Choose a single course (facyulty will assit the student/review Uploaded wedTPA sumissions.
Train Faculty in Tech
Too large a step for faculty to make a BB course (intro, students, assignments, etc.
Rather create a BB course with ALL
In edTPA for Special Ed. students are asked to adapt the lesson
to the Special Nedds studnet
1- Simulated IEP's -so all can review anIEP for different Disabilities.
2- Adapt a lesson with Ipad -Special Ed Apps.

Many students are conducting research in their courses. This may prove helpful for studentts in both live and online classes.
