"I want to put a ding in the universe" - Steve Jobs
My name is Lisa Dolcimascolo and I am an aspiring teacher for students with special needs. I previously attended Fordham University, where I completed a MS.Ed and P.D. in School Psychology. While attending Fordham as a graduate student, I substituted in local elementary schools for experience. Several years later, I attended Brooklyn College and earned an Advanced Certificate in School Supervision and Administration. I currently hold a NYS Certification as a School Psychologist and SDA/SAS. I have spent most of my professional career working with children and their families, ages birth to five years old, who received services through the auspices of early intervention and preschool special education programs.
My passion is being an excellent role model for all children. I embrace the moment when a child emotionally and intellectually makes a connection. As a teacher, I would like to take each child for their individuality and show them how collectively they can work together to take part in becoming responsible citizens, catalysts for change, and the next inventors in our technologically evolving world. This may sound zealous, but I have witnessed extraordinary accomplishments in education through the efforts of collaborative partnerships and unwavering resolve.
