5th annual Tour of Tsalteshi

Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022

In addition to the traditional 20K and 40K ski Tour of Tsalteshi,

new this year will be a 20K fat tire bike Tour of Tsalteshi!

Fat-tire Tour canceled

Feb. 17: The trails have received a considerable amount of rain this week. The forecast is calling for freezing temps overnight Saturday, meaning we’ll be able to groom for the morning ski race, but it’s not looking like it will be cold enough for long enough to re-establish a firm-enough base for the afternoon bike event to be anything other than a sufferfest.

Registration dollars have already been spent to prepare for the event, so we are not able to offer refunds.

OPTIONS:

  1. Switch to the ski race. All bike registrants are welcome to come ski with us. Email us by 7 p.m. Friday to let us know which race (20K classic, 20K skate or 40K skate) you’d like to do and whether you’d like to be seeded as Recreational, Intermediate or Competitive. Pick up your bib and race swag starting at 10 a.m. Sunday.

OR, just come to bib pickup on Sunday and we’ll get you entered into whichever race you prefer. But you will be seeded in the last wave if we don’t hear from you by 7 p.m. Friday.

  1. Join us next year. If you don’t choose to switch to skiing this year, we will email you a code next week that you can use to register for next year’s Tour for free. We will also mail you a Tour of Tsalteshi buff to the address you used when registering online. Please email us if you’d like us to use a different mailing address or if you don’t want a buff.

We are bummed to cancel this year, but we want this event to be memorable for the right reasons. Here’s hoping for a better rollout in 2023!
