Goals of this Lesson:
  •  Students will learn to add and subtract monomials.
  • At the end of the lesson the students recall subtraction of monomials.
  • At the end of the lesson the students subtract polynomials.
 
Description of Lesson:

 
This lesson explains in detail the rules to adding and subtracting monomials as well as how to go about the calculations. This may come in handy if you are attempting to add two terms in an algebraic equation. A monomial is an expression with a single term.
 
A monomial is an algebraic expression that has only one term.
