Kids, Toys, Bikes, Dogs, and Holiday Cheer!!!

Join us in our mission to deliver holiday cheer and joy to the children at the Raleigh Women's shelter by taking part in the 8th annual Tour de Toys bike ride and dog walk!

The Details

This annual festive event takes place on December 16, 2017 at CrankArm Brewing in downtown Raleigh, NC.

The entry fee is a simple one: To participate in the bike rides or dog walk all you need to bring with you is a new (unwrapped) toy for a child, a working bike and helmet (for the bike ride) or a well-behaved, leashed dog (for the dog walk), and a smile.

This event is family-friendly, so come on out with your kids, grandparents, parents, partners, friends, and anyone ready to have a great time for a great cause.

  • A DJ for anyone wanting to hang out at CrankArm
  • Food for after the rides and walk (Support CrankArm for supporting us - Buy a beer or two!)
  • A raffle for all participants (your entry free gets you two raffle tickets for some awesomely amazing prizes)

We will also have a costume contest at this year's event! Dress up in your best holiday outfits and show everyone how much holiday cheer you really have! Prizes will include a cycling themed trophy for the following categories, handcrafted by My Girls:
  • Best Couple,
  • Nice Costume
  • Naughty
Show us your holiday spirit!

If we've convinced you that you'll have a fabulous time with your fellow cyclists and some happy canines helping to spread some holiday cheer to kids and you want to pre-register for this worthwhile event, click here to sign up!

If you're on the fence or haven't figured out when all of your holiday parties will be yet, no worries. You can register and sign a waiver at the event.

If you have other obligations or don't want to bike/walk in the cold (hey....we live in NC so there's a possibility it'll be 80 degrees, but we get it), but you still want to support this effort to bring as much cheer to as many children as possible, click here for more information. We're all about the kids and we know you are too!

The Bike Rides

A mandatory waiver must be signed before leaving CrankArm Brewing and riders MUST wear a helmet. Waivers are part of the pre-registration process, but we will also have some at the event for those wishing to register on-site. Both rides are "no-drop" and will have ride leaders at the front of the pack, mid-pack, and sweeping.

6 mile bike ride option
  • leaves CrankArm at approximately 10:30am

The Dog Walk

The 1 mile dog walk will be led by a professional dog walker and will include areas in the downtown area. All dogs must be well-behaved, up-to-date on shots, and LEASHED at all times. Please be kind and remember to clean up after your pup!
