13th January 2016 - 950th anniversary of coronation of King Harold, 1066 and all that

23rd February - ‘Bloody’ Mary Tudor’s 500th birthday

15th March - 400th anniversary of Sir Walter Raleigh’s release from the Tower of London

 and Pocahontas’s visit to England

19th April - Charlotte Bronte’s 200th birthday.
