I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Oregon State University, part of the School of Public Policy. I am also a Research Fellow at IZA (Institute for the Study of Labor), a member of the Expert Roster of the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), and a Fellow of the Global Labor Organization (GLO)

My research areas are development economics, labor economics, and the economics of education. My current work focuses on education reform in the Gambia and Rwanda, youth unemployment in South Africa, and the effect of Mexican immigration on labor markets in the U.S.
