Collaborations
creative teamwork emerging from online study group

ROBERT ANTON WILSON (aka RAW)

One of my favourite authors (of both fiction and non-fiction) started to work from home as an online tutor - when he was getting to old and ill to continue travelling around running seminars and giving lectures.

MAYBE LOGIC ACADEMY (aka MLA)

I felt very lucky that I got in on the ground floor of the Academy, and have remained an active member for over three years. I participated in several of RAW's courses, as well as becoming a very active member of the general discussion group in the main forum.

COLLABORATIONS

MAYBE QUARTERLY (aka MQ)

The idea of a student-led magazine came up, and we decided that print copies would prove too difficult, but that an online magazine appeared very feasible.

A member called Kentroversy set it up as a quarterly, published on the Solstices and Equinoxes, and he functioned as editor for the first few issues, but eventually moved on to running his own successful blog website.

The other students decided to dive in and continue it as a rather anarchic co-operative venture.

ONLY MAYBE (aka OM)

In the period when it looked as though the magazine might die for lack of new material, a group of students started a blog, as a three month cycle seemed too slow for the online world.

A group blog also gives more power to individual  contributors, to proof-read, edit and update material. OM has now run for nearly three years, but the number and range of regular contributors has dwindled, and Bobby Campbell and I seem to have, more or less, made it our own.
