The Board Needs Your Help!

This year we are conducting a survey to gather feedback to see what is working and where we need to make improvements. Your opinion matters! PLEASE take a few minutes out of your day and fill it out.

Just click on this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9ZFSD68 THANK YOU!!! We value your input to make our Ladies’ Club even better.

Congratulations to our 2019 Club Champion Kim Cederholm! Whoohoo! AND Congratulations to our 2019 Net Champion Donna Crafton. Job well done Ladies.

TIME CHANGE for THURSDAYS!!! Early tee times are NOW starting at 230pm. If you’re joining the group at the turn for 9 holes the new time is 430pm.

On September 26th the early tee times on Thursdays will start at 2pm while joining in at the turn will be 4pm.

League News:

If you want to play in our weekly Leagues (Tuesday or Thursday) please call the Pro Shop (360-887-3004 and press #3) to sign-up BEFORE the deadline. Deadline is Sundays at 5pm to play on Tuesdays and you’ll need to contact the Pro Shop at least 48 hours prior to play on Thursdays. These deadlines are to ensure the Pro Shop reserves enough tee times to handle our group. Don’t be left out.

For Tuesday League Cancellation: If your cancellation request is AFTER 5PM on Sunday, please text Bev Frank at 360-771-3049 and let her know. It’s important that Bev knows who is playing so that she can set up the pairings and make sure we have enough tee times.

If you signed up for League Play (Tuesday or Thursday) and you find out that you cannot play, PLEASE!!! call the Pro Shop (360-887-3004….press #3) and have yourself removed from the list. The groups playing will wait as long as they can for everyone who signed up to get there before they tee off. Don’t be the one who holds up play!

Golf Events:

OUR SEASON FINALE GOLF TOURNAMENT is coming! It’s going to be a “SPOOKTACULAR” event on October 12th at 9am so find a partner. As you can see Halloween is the theme this year and we’re going to do a two person scramble. Get your costumes ready. The application will be available shortly so watch your email or check the bulletin board at TriMt.

REMINDER - PACE OF PLAY!!! Recently we’ve encountered some issues about pace of play. Here is the Rule of thumb…Your group needs to stay behind the group in front of you NOT in front of the group behind you. In other words…KEEP UP WITH THE GROUP IN FRONT OF YOU.

If you happen to fall behind, which will happen in a round, then try these tricks to catch up:

1. After two members have putt out then have those two move on to the next tee box and tee off.

2. If you have reached you maximum score on the hole, please pick up and move on to the next hole.

3. Play Ready Golf! If someone is still trying to find their golf ball or still has not arrived at their golf ball then go ahead and hit.

4. Walk & Talk. Don’t Stop and Talk.

5. Never walk backwards to get your cart/bag or any clubs. Leave them where you will walk to the next hole.

See Something, Say Something, Do Something!!!

Rule of the Month: 5.6 - Unreasonable Delay; Prompt Pace of Play

a. Unreasonable Delay of Play

You must not unreasonably delay play, either when playing a hole or between two holes.

Penalty for Breach of Rule 5.6a:

· Penalty for first breach: One penalty stroke.

· Penalty for second breach: General Penalty.

· Penalty for third breach: Disqualification.

If you unreasonably delay play between two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole.

b. Prompt Pace of Play

A round of golf is meant to be played at a prompt pace.

Your pace of play is likely to affect how long it will take other players to play their rounds, including both those in your group and those in following groups. You are encouraged to allow faster groups to play through.

Pace of Play Recommendations. You should play at a prompt pace throughout the round, including the time taken to:

· Prepare for and make each stroke,

· Move from one place to another between strokes, and

· Move to the next teeing area after completing a hole.

You should prepare in advance for your next stroke and be ready to play when it is your turn.

When it is your turn to play:

· It is recommended that you make the stroke in no more than 40 seconds after you are (or should be) able to play without interference or distraction, and

· You should usually be able to play more quickly than that and are encouraged to do so.

Playing Out of Turn to Help Pace of Play. In stroke play, play “ready golf” in a safe and responsible way.

In match play, you and your opponent may agree that one of you will play out of turn to save time.
