Activities:

Egg Shaker Song (A Cappella): Shake your egg shakers to the rhythm of the song. Shake them over and under different body parts on each verse.  Take suggestions for new places to shake your shaker on each verse, such as over & under your knee, head, toes, elbows, shoulders, legs, arms, ears, belly, etc.  If you don’t have egg shakers at home, use any toy that makes a noise when you shake it, such as a rattle, or any other children’s instrument, like maracas or wrist bells.

Egg Shaker Song (with the CD):  Play the CD and shake your shaker by the body parts mentioned in the song (knee, head and toes).

Art Project: Make your own egg shaker!  Take an old pill bottle, like Tylenol or one from the pharmacy. Make sure it’s empty.  Add pennies (or beans or rice...), close the cap and voila!  You just made your own shaker!

Listen to the Original Music: Listen to the original classical music (Minuet in G Major by Johann Sebastian Bach). Put it on during chores or before naptime to get your child in a sleepy mood!

Anatomy/ Color in the Picture: Color the picture of “Shake Shake” in the coloring sheet. Teach your child about anatomy by coloring different parts of the body on the coloring book page.
