H.E.A.R.T. (Ocala)

Home Education After Righteous Teaching was established in 2006 to serve as a source of encouragement and support to local homeschooling families.

We do this by providing members with fellowship, support, and communications, as well as social, educational & outreach opportunities.

H.E.R.I. - Home Education Resources & Information (JAX)

H.E.R.I. is a volunteer organization, of almost 800 families serving homeschoolers in the northeast Florida region. Essentially, we are a support group of other smaller support groups, home-based private schools and individuals, and as such offer unlimited opportunities for serving and encouraging one another.

Home Education Resources and Information, better known as H.E.R.I. (hurry) was established in 1985 to provide support and communication between homeschoolers. Soon after the homeschool law was enacted H.E.R.I. provided support to home schoolers registering with the superintendent’s office, as well as those registering with 600 schools (non-traditional private schools).

H.E.R.I. began with the HOME FORUM, its bi-monthly E-newsletter, which provided a vehicle for communication between homeschoolers. Other services were added as volunteers surfaced and needs became evident.

H.E.R.I. is a non-profit corporation organized for all homeschoolers regardless of race, creed or other homeschooling alliances. H.E.R.I. is NOT a school, or in any way a legal covering for homeschoolers. Information is provided, but homeschooling parents bear the ultimate responsibility for establishing their homeschool programs within the boundaries of the law. All parents considering homeschooling should thoroughly research and read all guidelines and laws before beginning.

Gainesville Homeschool Cooperative

We are a group of over 250 local families who have come together to build and benefit from a rich, vibrant homeschool community. We are open to all families who are interested in homeschooling, unschooling, and alternative education. Children of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged and welcome to be a part of our group.

Members are welcome to post events, playdates, classes and other family-hosted activities for children of all ages on our event calendar. We also post local events of interest to homeschoolers in the Gainesville, FL area. We have ongoing weekly and monthly events, including weekly park days and a monthly rock climbing day. Field trips to local hot spots are common occurrences as well as hikes and fun days.

There is no minimum participation required to be a member, and we are free to join. New members are requested to provide a real photo for their profile.

If you are looking for a safe and supportive environment for your child(ren) to grow and learn, and/or if you would like to share your wisdom and experience with others, then this is the place for you.

Williston Christian Homeschoolers
Sherri Brice

My name is Sherri Brice and I live in Levy County and I am an experienced home-school evaluator. I worked For Palm Beach County School Board for almost 10 years and have experience with administering standardize tests. Andy and I have been married for 22 years and are blessed with four girls. We attend Living Water Life Center in Morriston, FL and I am currently homeschooling our 4 girls using Apologia, Math-u-see, FLVS, and other items.

Ten years ago, after meeting several parents in our county with no group support, I felt God had called me to start a home school support group. Our group is called the Williston Christian Homeschoolers and we meet at various places throughout the year. ( parks, member's home, and springs). Our meetings are held on the 1st week of each month. These past years have been filled with meeting many new friends and exciting field trips.

If you are interested in our group or have any questions please call 352-486-4377

I conduct home-school evaluations year round. Please feel free to call for an appointment.

God Bless!
