Juvenile Team 2019 Page

In the Juvenile Team Championships Tipperary were involved in two Munster Finals against Cork. Our U12/13 Team of Stefan Tobin, Ronan Redmond, Lucky Matis, Rian Power Conal Moloney, Dean Carey , Charlie Grace & Eoin Bourke were very unlucky to lose out by 2 aces in their Munster final.

In the U14/15 Final Tipperary were represented by Brian Bourke, Evan Carey, Cian Molloy & Shane O Connell from ballina & Anthony Walsh & David Mc Grath from Cashel. After the first Doubles Tipp trailed by 29-20 but our second pair pulled back the aces to lead by 50-39 going in to the last Doubles. Our last Doubles made no mistake and added to our tally to take the Munster title in a comfortable 80-44 win. Ballina will host the All-Ireland Semi-Finals & Finals of the Juvenile Team of 6 & Team of 4 on Saturday October 26th @ 11 AM.

Juvenile County Team 40x20 All-Ireland Finals. 2017

The 2017 40x20 Juvenile Team of 6/4 competitions took place last Saturday in Salthill and Claregalway venues. In total six different counties took part with Kilkenny and Cork counties taking home the gold medals.

In the U14/15 competition Kilkenny had a comfortable win over Mayo in the semi-final 90-33 while Tipperary received a bye to the final. In the final Tipperary narrowly lost out to Kilkenny on a score-line of 70 - 67. Tipperary Team : Kian Donnelly,Nathan Lenihan,Rory Grace.Jack Mc Grath,Eoin Healy, Stephen Coffey,

In the U12/13 competition Cork received a w/o from Tyrone in the first semi-final while Kilkenny overcame Galway in the second semi-final. The final was a very exciting match with little between both teams with the result in the balance right up to the last ace. Going into the final game Cork led 57-62 and they extended their lead by leading 10-2 before a very strong comeback by Kilkenny which resulted in them losing the last game 11-15 but winning the title by the slimmest of margins 73-72.

Finally in the U16/17 competition Galway had a convincing win over Laois in the first semi-final 56-29 while Cork received a bye. In the final there was little between both team but Cork took the honours as they defeated the local Galway team 56-40.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, parents and a special word of thanks to the Salthill and Claregalway club’s for their hospitality and referring on the day.
