Ceremonies Team

The ceremonies of the Order of the Arrow are designed to be rich and vibrant experiences that communicate the essence of the Order to the candidates in a unique way. The importance of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service were displayed in the first ceremony on Treasure Island in 1915. The ceremonies have changed throughout the Order's history but the focus has always been to inspire members to lead lives of cheerful service. The experiences and ceremonies that accompany the induction process are grounded in the purpose and mission of the Order of the Arrow and are designed to support and enhance the mission of the Boy Scouts of America.
