Who are you? ... no really 'who' are you?

Too many people in life put up a facade, they project what they want other people to see them as instead of projecting who they really are. I want to put my life out on display and be totally open and honest about myself. There are some who might think this is a new progressive arm of popular psychology and consider this practice "healthy". However I don't think popular psychology came up with that idea.

I used to run into all kinds of "good ideas" when I read up in self-help books, new age wisdom, advice I would get from others, philosphy, quotes from "famous men", the wiccan faith, budhism, and so many other things. I don't think that's a bad thing as it shows someone who is looking for what's most important in life. And why would I criticize a journey that got me to where I am?

I then went through a phase a few years ago when I started studying, what some call, the torah again and english translations of the greek scriptures. As I studied and tried to sort out what was there it made a lot more sense than it had made to me in the past. And the stuff that Jesus taught actually worked (not that that was my motivation for starting it, but it did begin to do a work in me).

These days I've come to the conclusion that if it's 'good' then I'm sure it came from something that Jesus taught. That statement is going to be welcoming to some but then to others it's going to come across as some right wing belief system. I assure you that I am not a "christian" as it is practiced in most of western societies. Though I do follow what Jesus of Nazareth actually 'did' teach.

If you want to find out more about me you can check out any of my links to my blogs or my other online presences. Many of you in the US might want to search my blogs for the words "Philippine" or "Manila", to find out about the experiences that I've had there.
