Lesson 13 Bible Story – God's People Go Home Book of Esther

This week in Sunday School

This week we study Esther.  In her actions, we see the pattern of deliverance that God sketches throughout the story of Israel, a pattern that finds its fulfillment in Jesus, our Savior.  Consider discussing, "How did Esther preserve the Jewish people?  Why is the story of Esther important?"

Memory Verse:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Lesson 12 Bible Story – God's People Go Home Ezra 1:3;7:11-28; Nehemiah 2:1-8;12:27-43

This week in Sunday School

The Sunday School students study the account “Daniel in the Lions’ Den” today. Jesus, who saved Daniel, would Himself be given over to the satanic lion to save the world. Parents could ask, “Who did God use to keep Daniel safe? How does God keep us safely with Himself?”

Memory Verse:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6
