Yannick Timmer

Welcome to my Website!

I am a Senior Economist at the Monetary Affairs Division of the Federal Reserve Board. Before, I worked for three years at the International Monetary Fund. I obtained my PhD from Trinity College Dublin in 2018. During my PhD, I was also a visiting student at Princeton University and had positions at the European Systemic Risk Board, the Deutsche Bundesbank, and the Central Bank of Ireland. My research covers a wide range of issues in macroeconomics and finance. My work has been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics and The Review of Financial Studies. I have recently been named "Top 40 under 40" by the German Capital Magazin and a "forward thinker" by the Boston Consulting Group and the Handelsblatt.
