Played a great gig with Tim Hain and his band Jamside Up on Saturday at Proud Camden.
Tim is quite possibly the best blues and reggae guitarist working in London today and his brilliant playing is complemented by deceptively simple songwriting and a great voice.

I am thrilled that my good friend and virtuoso saxophonist David Barrows has released his new album, Dead Man's Cake.
I am playing keys on the album but we had a generally 'hot' session band backing him up the whole way including Tom Meadows and Ash Soan on drums, Jon Green on guitar, Ben Epstein on bass and Richard Lobb on production duties. The backing tracks were recorded live at High Barn studios and then Dave and Richard spent weeks overdubbing some sublime sax and vocals. The album tells the amazing story of Dave's life growing up in the states in the shadow of his mother's suicide and follows a chronological and emotional journey from boyhood in the USA to adulthood and marriage in the UK.
