The Parish Council has bought the land on Marefield Lane as a Queen Elizabeth II Field. This protects Tilton's only large publicly accessible space for recreation.

A group of volunteers is maintaining, managing and developing the playing field for recreational use on behalf of the residents of Tilton on the Hill and Halstead.
You can contact us at tiltonField@gmail.com if you'd like to receive news and be involved.

We held a Village Picnic in May 2014, cleared ground in March 2016planted trees with the Woodland Trust in April 2016commissioned a report on the current surface and options for its development and developed a Community Vision & Action Plan to guide management and use of the playing field. We have added picnic tables, planted trees and installed an outdoor gym.

Anyone from Tilton on the Hill and Halstead parish and thereabouts is welcome to lend a hand. We would love people to help maintain, develop and use the playing field in line with the Community Vision & Action PlanWe're (slowly) trying to move things forward with three themes: Sports Surface; Woodland Workout and Action Adventure

Groups activities are documented in these pages with occasional LATEST NEWS.

Please get in touch and come along to our open meetings if you have ideas about the playing field and can help us achieve the vision.
