Austin Community Hebrew School

The Austin Community Hebrew School (ACHS) is a supplementary religious and cultural school program
serving grades K-8.
ACHS provides a creative and interactive curriculum in order to build and expend on the Jewish
education our children receive at home and at school.

ACHS is an enriching, exciting and fun educational experience where children from all religious backgrounds can develop their appreciation for Jewish text and tradition, gain confidence in tefillah (prayer) and synagogue skills, grow in their love and support for the State of Israel, become more fluent in the Hebrew language, and engage the greater Austin Jewish community through mitzvah and chesed projects.

The program is designed to instill students with a love and pride in their Jewish identity while making their Jewish heritage relevant in today’s world. Our goal is to develop Jewish literacy and incorporate Jewish knowledge and values into the daily lives of our students.
At the same time, ACHS provides fun and positive experiences that facilitate lasting friendships between our students.

ACHS classes meet once a week on Sundays from 9:30-12:30. Please contact David Hazan with any question.

In addition to the Hebrew school, CTI offers a Bnai Mitzvah program.

Please contact Dr. Reuven Robbins for any questions.
