Tidewater Regional Challenge

Tidewater Region will not hold a competition this year. Next year is looking much better. Thank you for your understanding!

The annual Tidewater Regional Competition is currently pending permission to host a virtual session. We will not be able to host an in-person competition due to COVID-19 restrictions. Event Details:

Registration cost is Undetermined per team.

    • The challenge will feature an Engineering Report and pool events for both middle and high school teams

      • Engineering Report (see changes below)

      • Pool Technical Competition: will consist both of an Obstacle Course and an Challenge Course.

    • Please bring your own tools and parts for emergency repairs.

    • All ROVs must be run from the battery. Please ensure that you charge batteries prior to challenge.

    • All ROVs must be built during the 2020-2021 academic school year.

CHALLENGE CHANGE - ENGINEERING NOTEBOOK

  • In order to more closely align with the engineering aspects of the SeaPerch National Challenge, the Engineering Report challenge has replaced the Poster/Notebook competition.

  • Please read the information at the link above as to the change in rules and judging.

  • Please submit your engineering report digitally with your registration and/or by March 10, 2020.
