Tiago Novello
I am a postdoctoral researcher at IMPA under the supervision of Luiz Velho. I obtained my Ph.D. in applied mathematics at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, advised by Carlos Tomei and João Paixão. My thesis introduced the discrete line fields as an extension of Forman's discrete Morse theory.
I received my M.Sc. degree in Mathematics at Universidade Federal de Alagoas, supervised by Thales Miranda and Dimas Martínez with an emphasis on discrete differential geometry.
