School Music Festivals

2023-2024 Dates

The Thumb Friends of the Arts is happy to host multiple music festivals for local schools.  Schools (public, private, and music studios) must apply to be involved and granted permission by TFOTA.  For more information, click on the links below, or contact Jason Parmenter at mrparmenter@gmail.com or 810-853-8993.

 September 18th - Marching Band Online Registration Deadline (payment due 9-30)

September 26th - Professional Development Day for music educators at HISD

October 9th - Marching Band Festival at Bad Axe - 5:45pm start time

December 22nd - S&E and B&C Online Entries Due - payments due at same time

January 29th  - S&E Festival at Bad Axe

January 31st - S&E Festival at Sandusky (no vocal events)

February 29th - Program for Band & Choir Festival Due

March 7th - Band Festival at Lakers

March 12th - Band Festival at Sandusky

March 14th - Choir Festival at Lakers (2pmish start time) - May add a couple bands

March 21st  - S&E Concert/20th Anniversary Concert at Sandusky HS 7pm

March 24th - Medal/Plaque Order Due Online (payment due before delivery)

April 28th - Jazz Exhibition at Bad Axe High School 2pm

April 29th - TFOTA Director’s Meeting (Caro - TBD) 5:30-7:30 - medals/plaques delivered
