Toys for Tots

This year we donated toys and contributed $326 to Toys for Tots

a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to underprivileged children.

Did you know the Toys for Tots logo was designed by Walt Disney studios?

Successful Scholarship Fundraiser

On Saturday, June 7, 2014, members and their guests toured the Narcisi Winery in Gibsonia, PA.

The Narcisi wine-making process focuses on naturally preserving the grape's true character--using minimal filtration and adding very few sulfides or  other preservatives.

All of the grapes are grown in Pennsylvania. Two varietals are grown at the Narcisi vineyards, but most come from the Lake Erie region

Narcisi combines Old World wine-making tradition with modern technology. Wine is processed using stainless steel equipment. It is stored in oak chips--because barrels require more warehouse space.

Narcisi produces about 35,000 gallons of wine annually--that's enough to fill about 175,000 bottles. The winery offers dry, semi-dry and sweet varieties.

The event raised $265 for our Scholarship Fund.

Tour guide Roberto Smiraglio led our group of 33 through the family-

owned business established in 2001 by Dennis, Randy & Tony Narcisi.
