Serena, IL as a 3rd grade teacher. It was during this time, she explored the power of technology integration and received a Masters Degree in Curriculum, Technology, and Educational Reform from the University of Illinois. She moved to Crystal Lake Elementary District #47 in 2001 as South Elementary's Extended Curriculum Facilitator (gifted). In 2006, Kristin moved into District 47′s Technology Integration Specialist role. Kristin is passionate about technology and understanding how it can infuse into our current classrooms. In the fall of 2014, her role shifted to become an Innovation Coach at two of Crystal Lake's elementary schools.
Organizing and running a District conference for three years is Kristin's biggest accomplishment. The conference began as a technology conference during the summer of 2012. For the last two years, this conference combined technology and literacy into a Transliteracy Conference. This blend allowed teachers to see the full potential of technology integrations.
