Welcome to The Yonghong Zhang Lab@UTRGV

Our laboratory is focused on understanding how biomolecules recognize and interact with their targets, as well as how biomolecules are activated or inhibited, leading to approaches to modulate and control biomolecular activity to provide the foundation for new medical or non-medical capabilities. We use a wide array of experimental techniques, including recombinant DNA, protein expression and purification, site-directed mutagenesis, protein and DNA biochemistry, solution NMR, molecular docking and various spectroscopic methods.
