David Neilsen has spent years writing in a wide variety of formats and genres. In the days before the Dot Com Bubble, he was a co-founder of the successful humor website, The Brunching Shuttlecocks, where his work as a movie reviewer under the name The Self-Made Critic earned him an 'A' grade from Entertainment Weekly. He also spent far too long toiling in Hollywood, culminating in writing a direct-to-DVD movie called "The Eliminator" and optioning a television pilot to 20th Century FOX. More recently he turned his eye to more genre writing, and is currently shopping around his first YA/MG Fantasy/Adventure novel entitled "The Chronicles of the Deadly Dead." You should totally option the manuscript and publish it!

Mr Neilsen has acted in several films and directed the vampire movie, DOMINION. He is performs one-man readings of horror works by Washington Irving, Edgar Allan Poe and H P Lovecraft at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and various New York City venues.  Mr Neilsen became a member of the Writers of the Weird in February 2013.

David's most recent book is DR FELL AND THE PLAYGROUND OF DOOM published by Crown Book / Random House.  This is the first in a series.
