Jennifer Hafer and her rover design
Delaware Tech student works with NASA
By Derek Street
Jennifer Hafer, 27, a Computer Information Systems student at Owens Campus, has been accepted into NASA’s 2014 National Community College Aerospace Scholars Program. The program, which consists of only about 153 students from around the country, trains college students to apply critical thinking skills to real world applications in engineering and design. Students’ mathematics, science, programming, engineering, social, and business skills are put to the test to conquer the objectives laid out by the program.
While there Jennifer will help establish a mission plan to Mars. And will conceive a rover design that can accomplish specified goals.
