The Wheel Inn
The Wheel Inn is a charming Grade II listed 14th Century thatched Inn operated by SImon & Alison Bellamy, who took over the pub in February 2008. The Inn is situated in the village of Tresillian, about three miles to the east of Truro on the A390 road to St Austell.
We offer a range of beers including locally brewed real ales, lager, cider, wine by the glass and bottle, and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks with the driver in mind. We are open for food 7 days a week, lunchtimes and evenings, and we do recommend you book for weekends, highdays and holidays.
Well-behaved children are always welcome in the cocktail bar or dining room, but not in the bar (due to the terms of our licence). Small to medium-sized well-behaved dogs on leads are accommodated at either of the two tables in the bar. Space, however is limited and we reserve the right to refuse entry to dogs if there are no tables available in the designated area, or if they are on the big side.
We are pleased to have received a Trip Advisor "Certificate of Excellence" for the fourth year running, all genuine reviews are appreciated.
Latest news - We are now serving food from 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday - on Sundays it is still 6.30 pm or 7.00 pm depending on whether it's summer or winter.
Latest news - We are now using eco-friendly compostable straws, so no more single-use plastic ending up in the sea. We have also ditched the use of single portion sauces, e.g ketchup, as far as possible, to reduce the amount of plastic waste which is not recyclable. We now serve the same quality sauces in ramekins. Every little helps as someone once said!
