In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act
Exclusive Interview With the Sponsor
Admiral Benedict Charles Richmond
I found the right man while sitting at the Spirit of Stormwind in Dwarven District. He walked in with heavy, musty plate, and a barbaric sword. I guessed that it was one of the crusaders coming back from successful Northrend battles, but when people began rising and saluting him I knew there was more to this paladin.
As it turned out, the stranger was Benedict Richmond, an admiral of the Stormwind navy and one of the three leaders of Wrynn Royal Regiment. I have indeed heard of the man before, when I served as Leomir Barov's secretary. A veteran of the Third War, Richmond is also a rich nobleman who, in his youth, was a great fan of arts and literature.
I was at this time looking for a sponsor after the Royal Intelligence Agency gave me permission to restore the newspaper. The idea came to me while Admiral Richmond was away to take a bath and change into clean clothes. When the human returned, he welcomed it almost immediately.
The next day we met at the Blue Recluse to conduct the following brief interview on which I deeply insisted.
Admiral, I must ask... Why is it that you volunteered to help bring back the newspaper instantly though seven other potential patrons were less eager to accept the proposal?
There were a number of reasons, of course. The first and most vivid one was to do it in good memory of the former Earl of Stormwind – Leomir Lionheart. He was somewhat of a father to me and I didn't think twice before deciding to restore something that he had started a while back. Besides that, I also wanted to aid with the prestige of Wrynn Royal Regiment where I hold a seat on the War Council along with Archmage Jason Mirrings and General Ralkor Icehammer.
What role do you expect to take in business regarding the paper?
Not counting the fact that I will give you money? *chuckle* Well, as a commissar of the Royal Intelligence Agency I will also participate in making sure that the environment in which you and your colleagues work is safe and abuse-free. I am also ready to help with whatever you ask of me.
Do you plan on creating more projects like this that could promote the popularity of the royal army, including the Wrynn Regiment?
Yes, I always do. But planning does not necessarily mean acting. At the moment I am very busy as the pile of work with from Navy as well as the R.I.A. is increasing and I put national security before entertainment, art, or communication services.
You mentioned national security. Can you explain more?
As we are speaking, operations are set up to help contain and prevent criminal activity in the Kingdom of Stormwind and other parts of the Alliance. There are many threats, both internal and external, but with hope, faith, and action we will try to overcome them.
Thank you for this meeting, sir. I look forward to working with you.
Thank you, Abe. You are too kind.
