Fly to Shannon Airport. (30-40mins away from Limerick).

Fly to Dublin Airport. (2.5 hours away from Limerick).

Fly to Cork Airport. (1.5 hours away from Limerick).

Irish rail has regular trains to Limerick from all the big cities in Ireland, e.g. Dublin, Cork, Galway, Belfast. Prices vary between locations from €20-€50 for return tickets.

Travelling from Shannon Airport:

Price is ~€10 each way.
Get off at Limerick (Bus Station).

Travelling from Dublin (including Dublin Airport):

From Airport: Price is €15 each way. (Changeover at Red Cow stop).
From Bachelors Walk: Price is €10 each way.
Get off at University of Limerick.

Travelling from Cork (including Cork Airport):

From Airport: Book Cork Airport - Limerick City Henry Street. Price is ~€30 return.
From Bus Station: Price is ~€25 return.
Get off at Limerick (Bus Station)

Travelling from Galway:

From Bus Station:

Express Bus: Price is ~€20 return.
Non-Express: Price is ~€20 return.

Travelling from Belfast:

Get bus to Dublin: Price is ~€25 return.
Then get the Dublin Coach bus from D’Olier Street as stated above.

Getting off at Limerick Bus Station? Follow these directions to William Street and hop on the 304 city bus. This bus comes every 15 minutes and will take you out to UL .
