Santa Mittens

Theresa Pendlebury

I haven't seen a kid yet that didn't love these cute little mittens.  I've made some for adults as well, on request, by increasing the number of stitches and length.  The pattern looks a little fiddly, but really isn't.  Just follow along and it'll become clear as you go.

This pattern is knit in the round for the cuff, switched to back and forth for the face, back to in the round for the hat and then seamed up the side.

I've also occasionally used white fun fur for the beard and along the brim of the 'hat' instead of using the loop stitch.  Fun fur is best knit purl on the right side to show off the fluffy stuff.
