The Convention is organized by The Readers' Voice, an offshoot of the Books on the Broad Reading Group.

Doris Lessing, Nobel Prize for Literature 2007, is our Honorary Emeritus Governor

The organizing committee for The Readers' Voice 2010 is:
Kate Wilson, Elizabeth Morse, Rosalind Courakis and Tom Phillips.

The Readers' Voice Convention 2009 was supported by Awards for All. Alison Rowe, Big Lottery Fund Head of the South East region, said: "Books on the Broad has developed a ‘novel’ approach to encouraging not just a love of reading, but also of communication, understanding, and friendship. The convention will encourage greater numbers of Oxfordshire residents to fall in love with reading." (You can read the full Press Release here.)

The Readers' Voice Convention 2010 is funded by ticket sales alone, but continues to be a not-for-profit event.

Kate Wilson – is chair of the Books on the Broad reading group - for which she edits an e-Newsletter - and coordinator of The Readers' Voice convention. She is an avid reader who admits to 'catching up' with English literature over the last few years.

Ros Courakis is a retired prep-school teacher who has been passionate about raising standards of literacy and fostering a love of reading amongst the young.
She is now relishing having some time to devote to reading for her own pleasure.
