About Shelly Robbins

YouTube Video

Shelly Robbins has been teaching accounting technology for over 15 years, and her enthusiasm for peer collaboration has led her to create Meetup groups to bring innovation and new ideas to it.
A bookkeeper, she went on to lead a team of bookkeeping professionals supporting small businesses across the Pacific Northwest for 10 years.  She has taught accounting and accounting software as national as a speaker for Scaling New Heights, SleeterCon, and Finagraph.
In Shelly's words:
I started out as as a bookkeeper on the first version of QuickBooks® (in DOS), and became a QuickBooks® Training and Troubleshooting Expert.  For 10 years I led a team of QuickBooks professionals supporting small businesses across the Pacific Northwest region with QuickBooks® bookkeeping, troubleshooting, and training. Now I am one of the few national speakers for Intuit's Trainer Writer Network, teaching accounting professionals how to troubleshoot QuickBooks® programs.

Then I founded a network of QuickBooks professionals who continue to meet regularly to share laughs, tips, advice, support, and sometimes clients, through the"Talk and Client Swap" Meetup Groups
The network was built on the "peer support" model, I learned it in my first "real" job out of college bringing single parents together, and it is now managed by Beth Damis.

There is so much work to be done in the constantly-moving and ever-expanding field of accounting technology consulting that there is much to be gained when consultants team up together. It's that philosophy of specialization through collaboration that has made The QuickSource the leader in peer mentoring and support for accounting technology professionals.

My newest project is all about "Sustainability Accounting", which  will change the way small businesses define success.

I love teaching and developing communities of users who are working to increase their understanding of QuickBook®s software. Over the years I've trained hundreds of bookkeepers and managers using QuickBooks®. I have written and conducted dozens of QuickBooks® seminars including: QuickBooks for Mac (Basic and Advanced); QuickBooks®  Bookkeeper Training and Certification; QuickBooks® for Small Business Owners, and QuickBooks® for Contractors.
