PRESENT RULER:  HH Raja VIJAYENDRA SINGH, Raja of Nalagarh since 5th May 1971. (Raj Mahal, Nalagarh - 174101, Himachal Pradesh, India)
born 26th June 1946 in Dehra Dun, Uttar Pradesh (now Uttaranchal), succeded to the throne on 5th May 1971, educated at the Woodstock School in Mussoorie, Uttaranchal and later at the Yadavendra Public School (Y.P.S.) in Patiala, Punjab. He finished his schooling from the Doon School at Dehra Dun, Uttaranchal in 1962 and then graduated from Hindu College, Delhi University, in 1966. Member of the Legislative Assembly in the State of Himachal Pradesh 1977/1999, Chief Parliamentary Secretary 1982/1983, Minister of State 1984/1985 and 1988/1989, married 7th April 1968 in Chandigarh, U.T., Raymon Singh [Rani Sukriti Kumari], born 1st September 1948 in Delhi, educated at Welham Girls' High School in Dehra Dun, Uttaranchal, and graduated from Government Girls' College, Chandigarh, daughter of Sardar Jaspal Singh of Jandiala Guru in Amritsar District, Punjab, and of Sardarni Mohinder Kaur, daughter of the late Sir and Lady Sobha Singh of New Delhi and Hadali, and has issue, one son and one daughter.
  • Tikka Jayatendra Singh, born 10th April 1969 at New Delhi, educated at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, District Solan, H.P. and later at the Doon School, Dehra Dun, Uttaranchal, and passed out from Bishop Cotton School, Simla, H.P., graduated from the Wesleyan College in North Carolina, U.S.A., managing The Fort, Nalagarh, as a heritage hotel since 1996, married 16th June 1992 at New Delhi, Miss Poonam Rathi, and has issue, a daughter.
    • Rajkumari Jahanvi Kumari, born 3rd February 1994, presently studying at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, District Solan, H.P. 
  • Rajkumari Suhani Kumari, born 22nd December 1972, married 7th March 1996 at Nalagarh, Mr. Andaleeb Sehgal, son of Suman Sehgal, and has issue, two children.

  • Raja RAM SARAN SINGH 1788/1848, born about 1762, married a Rani from Kangra, and had issue, as well as further issue by secondary unions. He died 1848.

    • Kumari (name unknown), married Raja Pramodh Chand of Jasrota, Kangra. She died sp.
    • Mian Fateh Singh (by a Brahmin lady), passed over in the succession, as he was said to be of unsound mind; married and had issue. He died 1872.

  • Raja BIJE SINGH 1848/1857 (deposed), succeeded to the gaddi in 1848 and was deposed by the British in 1857 for taking part in the rebellion of 1857, married a daughter of Raja KARAM PRAKASH of Sirmur. He died sp 1857.

  • Raja AGAR SINGH 1860/1876, born 1804, placed on the gaddi by the British Government in 1860, Wazir of Nalagarh; married (a), daughter of a Mian of Jaswal, married (b), daughter of a Chandel Mian of Bilaspur, and had issue. He died December 1876.

  • Raja ISHRI SINGH 1876/1911, born 1832, succeeded 16th December 1876 (#1), married to Ranis from Guler, Kangra and Kuthar, but had no children. He died sp 18th September 1911 and was succeeded by his younger brother.

  • Raja JOGENDRA SINGH (1877-1946)Raja JOGENDRA SINGH 1911/1946, born 1877, educated at Aitchison Chiefs' College, Lahore; married Kumari Prathiba Kumari [?Rani Parikshita Kumari / Rani Prathiba Kumari of Nalagarh], daughter of Thakur RAGHUNATH CHAND of Mehlog, District Solan, H.P., and had issue, four children. He died 1946.

    • Rajkumar Arimardan Singh, died as a young boy in 1929.
    • Rajkumari Kalawati Kumari, married 11th July 1938, Rana Bikram Singh, son of Kanwar Govardhan Singh of Manimajra in Haryana, and had issue, three children. She died in April 1952.
      • Rajkumari Man Pyari Kumari, married 11th July 1938, Kanwar Balbir Singh, son of Kanwar Govardhan Singh of Manimajra in Haryana, twin brother of Rana Bikram Singh (see above), both born 15th June 1911, and had issue, five children.
      • HH Raja SURENDRA SINGH 1946/1971, born 13th January 1922, educated at Aitchison's Chiefs' College in Lahore, now in Pakistan; married 7th January 1944 at Patiala, Maharaj Kumari Yadhunandan KUmari [HH Rani (now Rajmata) Yadhunandan Kumari], daughter of Maj.Gen. HH Farzand-i-Khas-i-Daulat-i-Inglishia Mansur-i-Zaman Amir-ul-Umra Maharaja Dhiraj Rajeshwar Sir Sri Maharaja-i-Rajgan BHUPENDRA SINGH Mahendra Bahadur of Patiala, and had issue. He died 5th May 1971.
        • Rajkumari Madhu Nandini (Princess Maggie), born 1st December 1944 at Patiala, married 19th November 1967 (div. 28th August 1985), Captain G. S. Bath, son of Dr. Teja Singh Bath and Bibi Badhan Kaur, born 5th February 1939, and has issue, one son and one daughter.

          • Mr. Iknam Singh Bath, born 1969, married Ashima Bath (née Bahl), and has issue, one daughter.

        • Kanwar Karanendra Singh, born 18th March 1948 in Patiala, educated at the Doon School, Dehra Dun, Uttaranchal; married 22nd January 1971, Miss Sundarjit Kaur [Kanwar Rani Rati Kumari], daughter of Colonel K. S. Dhaliwal of the Punjab, born 23rd January 1950. He died sp16th November 1982 in an automobile accident.
