Raspberry Dream Ice Cream

2 cups fresh raspberries

1 cup half and half cream

2 cups heavy whipping cream

1 cup sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract


Puree raspberries in a food processor or blender.  Blend in sugar.  Stir in creams and vanilla.  Follow directions on your ice cream maker to churn*

For a Kitchenaid stand mixer with ice cream attachment set, put the chilled bowl on the mixer base and attach the mixing pieces.  Place mixing head down and turn to the stir setting, or lowest setting.  Slowly pour the ice cream mixture into the chilled bowl as it's turning.  Let churn 20-25 minutes until set.  Transfer ice cream to a plastic freezer container and freeze for 2 hours before serving. Or serve right away as a soft serve ice cream.  Garnish with fresh berries.
