Jammin' Cream Cheese Danish

1 can, 8, crescent roll dough or 1 crescent roll sheet

4 oz. cream cheese, softened

3 T sugar

1 T almond emulsion

1/2 - 3/4 cup jam or jelly, about 1 heaping Tablespoon per danish

sliced almonds for garnish

powdered sugar for garnish


Remove dough from can, leaving the roll in tact.  Cut dough into 8-10 slices, and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.  Make an indentation {with your fingers or the bottom of a glass} in the center of the dough slices.

Mix cream cheese with sugar and almond emulsion.  Divide evenly between slices, placing filling in the dough indentation.  Top with a heaping Tablespoon of jam or jelly.  Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until dough is cooked through and golden.  Let cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and sliced almonds
