Music

Born in northern Greece, moving to Los Angeles in 2004 and Montreal in 2009 and living in New York since 2016, international deejay Theo Zanos is the editor of the Deep House Archives (deephousearchives.com), a web project devoted to quality dance music and one of the most successful deep house podcasts on the internet (with more than 100k unique visitors, ~3k subscribers and over 100k plays). While in LA, he was also the resident DJ and digital marketing manager for the major west coast label Kapa Music. He spins regularly in parties, lounges and bars all around the world. With Christos Kedras, he established the "Groove Kitty" nights, a series of evenings around Los Angeles, featured in venues in Santa Monica, Hollywood and Beverly Hills. He also held a weekly Friday residency (Prime Fridays) at Suite 701 in Montreal for 3 years and continues to perform in various places around the world, from California to Greece, from London to Miami. He has performed besides house music greats such as Jay-J, Mr V, Claude Monnet, Samantha James, Justin Michael, Random Soul and others. He released, alongside Martin East, remixes featured in hugely popular releases and he is now working on some solo projects.

A PhD in Computational Neuroscience himself, Theo loves to dj for what djing really is: the joy of educating the uninitiated and delighting the discerning.
