About the Feathers

Let me start by introducing myself; my name is Steve Clark, I am the owner and Head Chef at The Old Feathers.
I have full orientation in the trade being raised in pubs and restaurants by my family. I now have over 15 years experience in the trade, I started as a  pot wash as a teen in my mothers pub in Kent working my way up to being the Head Chef. I learned all the tricks of the trade from the chefs there and gained a great reputation as Head Chef at her pub.

Keith; my father and gardener/waiter. During the day often found mowing the lawns or pottering around, he is very friendly and loves a good chat most preferably about fishing and birds.

Susie; my mother and assistant in the kitchen. Usually deals with any party bookings and decorations for your special occasions, having spent most of her life in pubs and clubs.

Then you will also find our few part time staff, but we prefer to call them our extended family!

We have a smaller cosy upper restaurant that we use during quieter winter nights and for private functions and buffets. A bar area where we have 4 booths, popular for the more romantic or personal dinner or just for a drink and bar snack. Passing through to the main dining room is a seating area popular for a pre-meal drink, which leads us finally to the main dining room/conservatory.

During the summer months we are hoping to set up lunches and meals in the garden which currently harbors chickens, fish, wild and domestic rabbits and a windmill shaped playhouse (figures with my other half being dutch!) for the children.

We have a lunch menu tuesday to saturday lunches consisting of some lighter bites such as baguettes

We also cater for small buffets for christenings, birthdays and funerals.
