Green Chili & Goat Cheese Southwest Burger

Green Chili & Goat Cheese Southwest Burger (makes 6 burgers)  


  • 1 1/4 lbs 80/20 ground beef
  • 4 oz chorizo
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup black beans
  • 1/2 cup panko
  • 1 tsp cumin


  • 1 large avocado
  • arugula
  • tomato
  • 1-2 can whole green chili
  • 8 oz log goat cheese


  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp chipotle adobo
In a large bowl combine all the burger patty ingredients, mix together until well combined.

Divide the meat into 6 equal sized portions. Roll the meat mixture into a ball and gently press in the palm of your hand, using your thump press a dimple into the center of each patty.

Prepare grill for direct high heat grilling, get it really nice and hot.  Slide the patties onto the grill, cook on one side for 5-6 minutes, flip and cook and additional 3-4 minutes, or until done.  DO NOT squish your patties and flip only once. 

Build your burger, bun, mayo, burger, goat cheese, green chili, avocado, tomato, arugula, mayo, and bun. Enjoy!
