The intent of the course was to determine whether it would be possible to use a MOOC in order to teach the skills needed to be successful in a MOOC. But what were these skills? We determined that they would be described by critical literacies, as described by six major elements of language and cognition: syntax, semantics, pragmatics, cognition context and change.
