All Years: Become a Member!
Students of any year can request to become a member of the Monroe Society. Members agree to a year-long commitment of working at least one office hour session per month and attending monthly general meetings.
During office hours, members will receive and process requests for overnight visits, and speak with prospective students and parents regarding various issues. Optional, but highly encouraged commitments include participation in fundraisers, special projects (ex. Days on the Lawn), and social events.
If you are interested in joining Monroe Society, please email your name and student identification number to firstname.lastname@example.org.
First Years: Become a Host!
Welcome Class of 2017!
Do you remember the huge decisions you faced when you were applying to colleges? Do you want to help students in the exact same predicament? Then become a host!
Only first-year students can sign up to be hosts for prospective students. Hosts agree to have prospective high school students stay overnight in their dorm room.
Hosting occurs throughout both fall and spring semesters when classes are in session. Prospective students will participate in the hosts' activities for that day and night. This can include, but is definitely not limited to, classes, social events, meals, extracurricular activities, and cultural and/or sporting events.
