Q. From a PCC Member - What type of e-banking app would you recommend for my small gardening club (~80 members). This club collects dues from the members once a year.
A. From Tom Kreuzer, a PCC Board member. The PCC club must use the same bank as the 3M Club. Almost any bank or credit union can work, but it may not support all the features below.
Features you may want to consider:
Set up a joint account with the treasurer and president
Set up checking and savings if you have a large fund and want the best interest. Online banks offer more interest.
If you do not have a non profit ID, you need to assign a social security number to the account. May want to have it at the same bank as the treasurer to make it easier for them.
Account fees vary from 0 to $10 a month depending on balances and what other accounts you may have at the bank.
Deposit checks by photo
Venmo, Zelle, Paypal support to send money to and from account
Are checks needed and what do they cost. Is ATM support needed and fees?
Some online banks limit the number of deposits and withdrawals per month
Local access is nice for US Bank, Wells Fargo, etc.
If you have questions, contact me.
