Call In -- Steve Shell docu-drama screened

WINDSOR, Ontario - The long-awaited docu-drama chronicling the final show of controversial call-in radio show host, Steve Shell, was screened before a capacity audience at the University of Windsor last night.

The film, simply titled Call In, offers no answer as to where author/broadcaster Steve Shell has been for the past year, nor what has become of him.  Rather, it focuses on the sequence of events that led up to the bizarre final call he took to before simply walking away from his top-rated conspiracy show, I Don't Believe  You.

Following the screening, director Doug Mac Donald and screen writer Matt St. Amand would take no questions and left the venue soon after the film was shown.

No further screenings have been scheduled or are anticipated at this time.

The decision came almost two years to the day after Private Bradley Manning was arrested in Iraq for allegedly leaking hundreds of thousands of classified US government documents to WikiLeaks.

The cases remind us that all too often whistleblowers suffer, while war criminals walk.  Read more
