"I knew I had might as well be destroyed because I was already dead anyway."
Jason has always been adept at lying. A 34-year-old man with Asperger's Syndrome, he finds himself incapable of love and unable to distinguish where truth begins. His only connection to the world is through music - he lives and breathes music. Music is his best friend, his wife, his lover and his savior; in fact, the most important relationships in his life are those with artists he has never met. He holds guitars in embraces and pushes women away. "Losing Elizabeth" is about his search for meaning in lyrics and in life and what happens when, ultimately, he cannot find the meaning and the songs all sound wrong.
